PEP training function – PEP breathing training (PEP = Positive Expiratory Pressure) builds up a positive pressure when you breathe out. Due to the increasing pressure during exhalation, the bronchi dilate, with decreasing pressure they narrow again. This constant widening and narrowing of the bronchi causes a massage effect that has a positive effect on airway therapy.
